I don’t read quickly. I read a page or two at a sitting, usually, so I can worry on a good book for a month or more. For the past several weeks I’ve been reading General Tommy Franks’ book, American Soldier. It’s a fantastic read. There’s plenty of insight into the man, sure, and there’s enough technobabble and military jargon to keep your average thirtysomething white male happy, but the book also provides a really neat insight into the way war works in the 21st century.
I’ll write more when (1) I’m not sick any more and (2) I’ve finished it.
