The Shape of Days

As my regular readers (both of you) know already, I’ve been under the weather for more than a week now. Some kind of virus or something. Yes, I’ll be fine, but for the whole time I’ve been feeling run-down and grumpy.

Here, in no particular order, is a list of stories that I wish I’d written about in the past week.

• The bizarre goings-on in North Korea
• The nearly-as-bizarre goings-on in Chile
• The surprising coincidence (and yeah, I’m sure that’s all it was) of this morning’s plane crash in Houston
• That riot where the basketball game broke out
• The embarrassing hoo-hah over the oversight provision in the omnibus spending bill
• The intelligence reform that wasn’t
• General Tommy Franks’ book American Soldier, which I just finished reading over the weekend

I blame the virus.
